Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful city filled with kind people, amazing food and lots of tradition. Days are easily spent at any one of many beach clubs, or strolling the streets visiting galleries and shops, or going on a nearby adventure tour on a daycruise, ATV, horseback or zipline. For only eight pesos, the local bus line will take you down the coast to other nearby beach towns, and if you want to spend a little extra, you can take a private water taxi back to the Puerto Vallarta pier. A fantastic way to spend the day!
The first time I saw Casa Vista Vallarta, I immediately drawn to it. The original ironwork windows, generous living room space, the gorgeous architecture of the building, sun-filled rooms, and fantastic views all added together to make it unforgettable. With three bedrooms/two baths, in a building where each floor is a private condo, set up on a small hill that gives it it’s views and surrounded by three other unique buildings by the same architect, Casa Vista Vallarta truly felt more like a home than a condo. The previous owners had poured their love into the condo for eighteen years, and now it was my turn. Renovating this space has truly been an act of love. I knew I wanted to completely update the look and function of the space while honoring the traditional Mexican feel that was built into it. I love what it has become, and I hope that you do too!
For us, the jewel in the crown of this home is the dining room mosaic. We had the unbelievable honor to work with highly regarded Puerto Vallarta mosaic artist, Natasha Moraga, who ultimately agreed to create her first private installation in our home. Well-known locally for her amazing public works (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np1ZJtMHYlE), Natasha follows in the tradition of Spaniard, Antonin Gaudi, in her form and use of color. After asking about our family history and values, Natasha created a beautiful piece filled with meaning and symbolism that lifts the space and all those who see it. Her use of mirror creates movement and life in the piece, and changes its energy as the sun moves throughout the day and the moon throughout the night.
We invite you to stay in Casa Vista Vallarta and to take your time to discover or re-discover a way of being filled with good people, good energy and good memories.
Saludos!
