The Puerto Vallarta airport is about 15 miles away from Casa Vista Vallarta. Although many people rent cars, we wouldn't suggest it. Parking can be difficult, traffic is a contact sport and taxis are readily available. After you land, ignore the folks inside the airport trying to sell you a ride, and proceed to the curb outside. A White taxi (the only ones allowed to pick up from the airport) will cost you $25 US or about $300 pesos ($18 US). There are ATMs inside the airport. Alternatively, if you're not too burdened with luggage, you can walk outside the airport itself, and catch a Yellow taxi on the street (less expensive than the White taxis) or call for an Uber. Around town, Yellow taxis are plentiful and cheap!
